Happy International Women's Day!👩‍🦽🏐

World Wheelchair Rugby is thrilled to announce a historic step toward gender equity in wheelchair rugby with the signing of the International Working Group (IWG) on Women and Sport’s Brighton Plus Helsinki 2014 Declaration on March 4. This landmark commitment is accompanied by the launch of the Wheelchair Rugby Gender Equity Playbook—a game-changing strategy designed to drive female participation and leadership at every level of the sport.

🚨 Event Cancellation Notice 🚨

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we regret to announce the cancellation of this event. Unfortunately, half of the attendees have withdrawn in the last few days for reasons beyond their control. With only one team remaining, the cost of hiring a venue is no longer feasible.

We want to acknowledge the incredible effort put in by Robbie (NZWR SDO) and DSA to make this event happen. This decision was not made lightly, especially knowing some had already booked flights. Robbie will be in touch with those registered directly.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding.

We look forward to seeing you all in Tauranga for WRC 1 in May!
