Rising Star Academy Rising Star Academy is a privately run hockey coaching academy in Manawatu which provides coaching for individuals between the ages of 5 and 16.

Rising Star Academy offers a range of programmes throughout the year, group sessions and 1on1 sessions.

Session number 2 & 3.

Elan had a really productive session today with fine tuning his Tomahawk. We have started the basics of the drag flick. Looking forward to seeing your development of this.

Malaya no photos unfortunately. Fine tuned her upright hit and worked on some 3-D skills.

Been such a nice day to work with all these Rising Stars.

Hope everyone had some nice time off over the last few weeks.

Here’s a video of Rome breaking down the fundamental skills of throwing an Overhead/aerial. Rome’s aerial is coming along nicely soon enough he will be throwing huge bombs💣.

Last Saturday’s session consisted of attacking skills around the circle edge and taking an early shot once hitting the circle.

Having a brand new Goal keeper with us today it was a big focus on getting in to good habits and getting use to being in the kit. Nice reflex save in the video.

Huge season for these two lads this year can’t wait to see you both in action. ⭐️🏑
