It’s time to start thinking about plans for the upcoming school holidays, and we have an awesome opportunity for your child!

These holidays, players will have the chance to level up their hockey skills and take their game to the next level. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn new techniques, sharpen existing skills, and build strong fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment.

Bush 6 Player of the Day went to Easton. I am sure his coach has a great reason for him receiving the award but I much prefer his answer....apparently he was a great reptile on the field 🦕🦕
Coaches update: Easton was Player of the Day for Bush 6 this week! Easton had a great defensive game with some big clearing passes up to the forward line. Easton concentrated really well and played with a positive attitude. Well done Easton!

Player of Day for Bush 3 went to Leighton and Issac. Great determination by Leighton and always supporting team mates at either end of the field. He was the first one to put his hand up to play for the opposite team.
Issac also had an outstanding game he was always ready to "attack" and, and made some great passes.

A great opportunity for our budding hockey enthusiasts to watch NZ hockey in action! NZ women are playing in the final tonight at 6.30pm tonight (sorry bit late for men but you can watch the replay).
....BUT it's competition time!!!!!!Parents can you ask your child to guess the score for the women's game. Comment below ...I can confirm the prize will not be that amazing but most likely edible 🤣

Bush 5 has Gemma for the player of the day today. Gemma had a great game with lots of calling and passing. It was a hard game and the team had a 1-1 draw.

Bush 2 player of the day was Hollie showing confidence in attacking and defending. She ran into space created opportunites on attack and got back to help in defense.

It is with great sadness that Bush Junior Hockey acknowledges the passing of Andy Gardiner. Our love and thoughts are with Nic, Angus, Henry and Evie and families at this difficult time. Andy and Nic were great supporters of the club with all three children playing for Bush Junior Hockey. We were lucky enough to have Andy's mentorship, coaching and passion for the game for six years as a Coach and member of the Bush Junior Hockey committee. Here are a couple of pictures of Andy coaching as well as the Bush Junior One team wearing black armbands the week Andy passed. Much love to Nic and family.
