It’s awesome to see so many of our Hika players representing their schools on the national stage and getting the opportunity to play some great hockey against teams from across New Zealand.

❤️🖤 A GREAT SEASON FOR OUR HIKA RESERVE A WOMEN ❤️🖤

Our Hikurangi Reserve A Women wrapped up their 2026 season tonight. While they didn’t quite get the win in their final game, they finish the season in a very respectable 4th place! 🏑👏

A fantastic achievement for such a young team, and something they should all be incredibly proud of. There’s plenty of talent in this group and lots to look forward to! ❤️🖤

A massive thank you to Head Coach Tiana Currie for all the time, effort and commitment she’s put into the girls this season.

And a special thank you to Grandma Vicki Gribble , who has been right there assisting Tiana, sharing her years of hockey knowledge and experience with the girls. Having someone with Grandma’s understanding of the game on the sideline has been invaluable for such a young team — offering advice, encouragement and guidance, while of course keeping everyone in line when needed! 😂❤️🏑

And a big thank you to Manager Jennilee Donaldson for everything behind the scenes throughout the season — and, most importantly, for keeping the team well supplied with lollies! 🍬😂

Well done ladies — hold your heads high and be proud of what you’ve achieved this year.
