The Tasman Thunder Stock Car Team are the representative Stockcar team of the Nelson Speedway Association. Teams racing is the ultimate challenge of Stock car racing where two teams of five cars race each other using tactics and strategy to allow team mates to win.

Our deepest sympathies to our awesome Manager Mel, following the passing of her best friend and partner John, after his courageous battle with Motor Neuron Disease.

Many of you will have guessed by now, and unfortunately it's true 😔 The Tasman Thunder will not be attending the New Zealand Stockcar Teams Championship in Wellington next weekend. The Nelson Stockcar class numbers have dwindled and needs to focus on rebuilding numbers before looking to form a Nelson team.

We wish good luck to the Wellington club and all the teams competing.

For those interested The Pits Media will be livestreaming the event
