Let the good times roll! The Big Bike Film Night returns tonight to Kings Ohakune! 🍿🚲 🎥

Come check out the 2026 collection of short cycling films made in New Zealand and around the globe, including a video about two adventurous women who bike to 23 ski areas across New Zealand, which include Whakapapa, Tūroa and Tukino on Mt. Ruapehu!!

💥 Should we go for a ride tomorrow?! Why not! We know this is a last minute post - oops! But after all the volunteer work done on the trails recently we’re super keen to ride!

Meet Matiu and Jordana in Ye Old Mill Carpark at 1pm tomorrow, we’ll head out shortly after and cruise around the trails for a few hours!

The top section of Rake Head through to the main trail junction of Boost, Cog Wild and Crank got a big clean up by Matiu & Jordana this afternoon! Along with the a tidy up of a small connection trail that gives riders access between the Bent Spokes, High Flyer, Crank and Rake Head.

Time to get out and ride the trails now, hope to see you out there soon!

It was a busy Sunday around the trails yesterday with over 4 hours of volunteer trail work completed!

A huge thank you to Kristy, Sam, Bodie, Jasper and Ethan and his dad for doing heaps of awesome work along Cog Wild and Loose Chain - the trails are riding brilliant right now thank you!

Later in the afternoon Matiu and Jordana worked their way up along Waterfall Express tidying up along the sides.

Everyone enjoyed a few laps at the afternoon too!

Hello summer 2025/2026! Ruapehu MTB Club is excited for another awesome summer here around Ruapehu! On Sunday Matiu & Jordana spent a few hours tidying up along a few trails at Uenuku Pines MTB Park - it was good to be back out there enjoying the sunshine and riding the trails! We’ll be back out there again soon to keep working along the trails 🙌🏽

Greg has also been doing work along the trails recently too, make sure to check out his awesome work on the jump section at the bottom of Crank! It’s looking real good right now and allows riders to flow into Bent Spokes (weave your way along the single track through the trees) or get sendy off the jumps along High Flyer (the most advanced jump trail currently within the bike park).

Make sure to also check out the epic trails around Ruapehu - especially the two newest additions to the trail network, Te Hangāruru and Te Ara Mangawhero! To learn more and stay up to date on all the M2S trails, follow their social accounts and check out the official Mountains to Sea - Ngā Ara Tūhono website too!

⛰️ “ALL BIKES. ALL TERRAINS. ALL GOOD.” ⛰️
