🏀 U14 Girls Representative Trial Registrations Are Now Open! 🏀

Basketball Hawke's Bay is excited to announce registrations are now open for our 2026 U14 Girls Representative Teams!

This is your opportunity to challenge yourself, develop your game, and represent Hawke's Bay alongside some of the region's most dedicated young athletes.

📅 Trial 1: July 5th | 3:00pm - 5:00pm
📅 Trial 2: July 9th | 3:30pm - 5:00pm
📅 Trial 3: July 12th | 3:00pm - 5:00pm (Invited Athletes Only)

Give your child an exciting week of basketball, confidence-building, and fun these school holidays!

Our July Holiday Programme is designed for players of all ages and skill levels - from beginners who are just starting out, to more experienced players wanting to keep improving.
Across the week, players will learn new skills, build confidence, make new friends, play games, and enjoy a fun, high-energy basketball environment.

On Day One, players will be placed into teams where they will work together to improve their skills, build team chemistry, and prepare for an exciting Finals Day - giving them the chance to put everything they have learned into action! 🏆

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Just a reminder that our U14 Pre Trial Skills & Scrimmages are coming up next week!

Representative trials are just around the corner, and we're giving players the chance to get some extra runs in before trial season kicks off.

Come along for a session focused on skill development, competitive scrimmages, and having some fun while getting better alongside other players aiming for reps this year.

🏀 Basketball Hawke’s Bay U14 Representative Coaches Announced for 2026 🏀

We are excited to announce our first U14 Head Coaches for the 2026 representative season.

Leading our U14 Girls Programme will be Kirstin Daley-Taylor, whose recent induction into the Basketball New Zealand Hall of Fame is a testament to her outstanding contribution to the game. Kirstin brings a wealth of experience as a player, coach, and mentor, and her leadership will continue to strengthen and elevate our girls' pathway.

Taking charge of the U14 Boys Programme is Clifton Bush III, who brings valuable current playing experience and a strong connection to today’s game. Clifton’s passion for player development and understanding of the modern game will be instrumental as he guides our young athletes on their journey towards the National Tournament in Wellington this October.

We are thrilled to have both Kirstin and Clifton leading these programmes and look forward to the positive impact they will have on our athletes both on and off the court.

Further coaching announcements, including our Development Team's coaching appointments, will be made in the coming weeks.
