✨ Meet the Team at Villa Park Equine ✨

To all our new followers (and our loyal old ones!), we thought it was time to reintroduce ourselves.

I’m Mary — the face behind most of the posts (unless Charlotte gets hold of the phone and ends up making TikToks 😂).

Villa Park Equine is a true family affair. Alan is the commercial real estate agent of the family, usually found on the phone, at work, or supporting our horsey dreams from behind the scenes. Then there’s me — psychologist, mum, hockey coach, cook, cleaner and general dogsbody!

Henry (8) enjoys riding when the mood strikes. Despite growing up surrounded by horses, he’s only competed at four shows in his life — three lead rein days and one off-the-lead ribbon day! 😂

Charlotte (9) is our horse-mad rider. She lives and breathes ponies and would happily move into the barn if we let her. Her passion started with showing and dressage, and she’s recently added jumping to the mix. At just 7 years old she took our homebred superstar pony VP Little Secret to Australia, claiming Runner-Up Lead Rein at Sydney Grand Nationals before winning at Sydney Royal Show. The following year, as an 8-year-old, she won the Child’s Small Show Pony title for children under 18 yrs.

Our breeding journey began over 15 years ago with a simple goal: breed horses and ponies for the kids and me to enjoy. Today our paddocks are full of homebred stars, imported bloodlines and plenty of personality. From Daisy, Tw***ie, Boston and Star, to Secret, Parker, Harold, Glamour, Leonardo and Babe — every horse and pony has a special place in our story.

Showing has been a huge part of our lives for more than 35 years, and we love sharing the journey, the successes, the challenges and all the moments in between.
