March’s QBE Volunteer of the Month – and final recipient of the season – is Abhijit Khotkar from Eden Roskill Cricket Club.

As coach of the U11 girls “Super Stars”, Abhijit has created a positive, inclusive environment where enjoyment and development come first. His strong knowledge, clear communication, and focus on mindset, fitness, and teamwork have helped build confident, resilient players who love the game. Leading by example, he prioritises team culture over results while still guiding the team to an unbeaten season. Abhijit’s dedication, care, and commitment have made a lasting impact both on and off the field.

Congratulations, Abhi and Eden Roskill!

Reminder! This Saturday, Auckland Cricket is heading down to North Shore Cricket Club for a fun Family Tonk Taster, followed by the annual T20 showdown between North Shore Cricket and North Shore Rugby.

Bring the kids, bring your mates, and come have a hit on the field before settling in to watch Rugby vs Cricket battle it out.

There’ll be backyard cricket games, an inflatable net, and a speed gun competition where you can test how fast you bowl (small entry fee, all going towards the Bowling Club Project). Bragging rights and a prize for the fastest arm on the day

Best of all, the event is a fundraiser for the Bowling Club Project, a multi‑purpose facility that will include new female changing rooms at the club. A great afternoon out supporting an even better cause.

All ages and abilities welcome. Come down, get involved, and be part of it.

North Shore Cricket Club
Activation from 1:00pm
T20 match from 2:00pm
