My journey as the teaching pro at KGC will end in mid July as I step away to focus on family and other business activity.

The past two years has been lots of fun as the club grew under the management of Clayton Willocks and the work of the green staff to present a quality track.

Most disappointing is to walk away from the successful junior programmes which have seen 100+ children engage in the past 18 months. To achieve the goal of a club full of juniors and their parents was the highlight of my two years and I hope the club will find someone to step in and keep the momentum going.

To those with unused vouchers or are part way through a series of lessons you will be my priority over the next month or so so please get in touch to secure times to finish those off before mid July.

Hit them long and straight everyone!

April went by in a flash! - snorkelling the Barrier Reef, returning to our horrible weather and catching up on the main business work I had pushed to one side over summer.

I'm back coaching from this Friday - times over the coming months are limited as this is a part-time role that fits around family, my main business and the reduced daylight hours so get in touch if you need some help

Nice work James and team. A few less trees there than when I was a junior member in the early 90’s but I’m sure the course was as good as always

That's a wrap on the 2025/26 Summer Junior Programme.

We had over 80 kids with about 35% transition to the next level between terms - amazing!

Happy winter sports to you all - I am now on holiday for the rest of April and will be back coaching the keener juniors and adults from May onwards

One big day on the course left this Sunday for the 2025/6 Junior programme.

We have seen over 80 children participate this summer with some pretty cool achievements

So fingers crossed the weather behaves and we can finish the season with some good scores and lots of fun.

18 Hole kids - any junior members are welcome to play at 11am even of you have not participated in the programme - book in online - $5 entry - all paid as prizes
