FNCC vs Bream Bay CC

Far North Granite Heaven Reserve XI travelled to Caledonian park in Waipu to take on Bream Bay CC in round 2 of the Northland reserve grade 40 over competition.

Winning the toss and batting 1st FNCC struggled to get momentum in the innings due to good bowling in helpful conditions combined with a slow outfield.
A 90 minute rain delay reduced the match to 32 overs but FNCC were all out for 136 in the 29th. Captain Nilesh Patel top scoring with 25.

BBCC chased down the total in 26 overs for a hard fought 5 wicket win, with Far North failing to capitalise on a couple of critical chances in the field.

Next match Far North Granite Heaven Reserve XI vs KCC at Kensington.

We are stoked to announce that our FNCC Granite Heaven Reserve 11 has scored the highest total so far this season in the reserve grade declaration cricket competition! 🎉 This outstanding performance highlights the hard work, dedication, and skill of our incredible team.

A massive thank you to our main sponsor, Granite Heaven. Renowned for its quality products and exceptional customer service, specializing in stunning granite stone work that transforms houses and spaces throughout Northland and beyond.

A special shoutout goes to Aman Thakur, who delivered an extraordinary performance with a blistering 157 runs off just 72 balls! His innings included a phenomenal over where he hit 6 sixes, adding to a total of 19 sixes in his outstanding knock. Aman’s explosive batting set the tone for the match and truly showcased his talent and determination.

We must also recognize the vital contribution from Mani Jellick and the rest of the team who provided steadfast support from the other end. His solid partnership with Aman helped to stabilize the innings and allowed Aman to unleash his full potential. Teamwork at its best!

This incredible achievement is a testament to the teamwork and passion we share for cricket, and it also reflects the strong foundation of support we receive from Granite Heaven.
