After a heated discussion about fitness and a bit of a chat about what it means to be a part of a community, the 22 new Under 8s Blues Eels decided to join the Southland Community Challenge. They will each run 200m at the start of every practice and see if they can grow the distance before February 7th 2027.

We challenge Invercargill Blues Rugby Football Club Skull Pirates Invercargill Orca Swimming Club, Invercargill and Star Rugby/Rugby League Clubto join the event and do some kilometres for pre season.

The AG Hoffman Civil Spring Junior Competition kicks off on Friday 30 October, with five weeks of footy running through to 27 November.

We’re looking forward to seeing our kids out there with their mates, giving it a go and enjoying their league—and hearing their whānau cheering them on!
