📍 SBHS No. 1 Field
⏰ Kick-off: 11:30am
If you can’t make it to the grounds, be sure to subscribe to SIBSNTV and catch all the action live.
We’re also excited to welcome back the Class of 2006, who will be in attendance for the day.
🔥 What’s happening on-site:

OBHS v SBHS Winter Interschool Summary

June 9, 2026
The annual Winter Interschool between Southland Boys’ High School and Otago Boys’ High School once again delivered a full day of competitive sport, strong rivalry, and outstanding school spirit across a wide range of codes.
Students proudly represented their schools in rugby, football, basketball, hockey, squash, clay target shooting, smallbore, chess, and debating. Across all events, contests were played in great spirit, reflecting the strong tradition and mutual respect shared between the two schools.

Clay Target Shooting – SBHS 329–296 OBHS ✅

These performances showcased the skill, composure, and determination of SBHS athletes, particularly in the premier fixtures.
Other Results

The 1st XI Hockey fixture is still to be played, leaving one contest remaining.
Overall Standing

Closing
Interschool events such as this remain a cornerstone of both schools’ sporting traditions, providing valuable opportunities for competition, connection, and pride in representing their community.
SBHS extends its thanks to Otago Boys’ High School for their hospitality and acknowledges all players, coaches, officials, and supporters who contributed to a memorable and successful occasion.
