I am super grateful that I have access to science backed information about horse behaviour and their way of learning and nervous system responses.
Although I am not a horse trainer, I like to implement these informations in my workshops, online coaching sessions or programmes I offer for the RIDERS.
The more they understand why the horse is behaving the way it does and what the reason behind the horses responses are (from a HORSES PERSPECTIVE) towards the human behaviour and state of the nervous system, the better the connection can trive based on trust and understanding.
I mean, even us humans dealing with other humans is sometimes hard or frustrating when we don't understand why the human talks or behaves in a way that might not resonate with us, leaves us confused or frustrated, or even upset ALTHOUGH we are the same species and speak the same language.
So, I think the more information we get (from a proper source backed by facts and science like from Dr Steven Peters) about horses brain function, the way they are learning, how and why they develop their behaviour, how to speak to them in THEIR language and how we can become a calm, reliable and fair "partner" to them, the better the outcome for the horses are.
And that of course leads to a deeper connection between horse and rider, but based on understanding and trust, not on fear, obedience and force.
If you know better, you can do better. And learning never stops and behaviour patterns can be changed, in both horse and human.
Keep learning and ask questions 🙏🐴❤️.
