The calmer your nervous system, the quicker your reactions and the clearer your communication.

Relaxation is not laziness; it is precision. When you breathe deeply, your horse feels grounded leadership, not tension.

Small relaxation rituals before mounting can transform your ride.

Everything works better when your body leads with ease 🌿

Try this before your next ride and let me know what changed.

I am super grateful that I have access to science backed information about horse behaviour and their way of learning and nervous system responses.

Although I am not a horse trainer, I like to implement these informations in my workshops, online coaching sessions or programmes I offer for the RIDERS.

The more they understand why the horse is behaving the way it does and what the reason behind the horses responses are (from a HORSES PERSPECTIVE) towards the human behaviour and state of the nervous system, the better the connection can trive based on trust and understanding.

I mean, even us humans dealing with other humans is sometimes hard or frustrating when we don't understand why the human talks or behaves in a way that might not resonate with us, leaves us confused or frustrated, or even upset ALTHOUGH we are the same species and speak the same language.

So, I think the more information we get (from a proper source backed by facts and science like from Dr Steven Peters) about horses brain function, the way they are learning, how and why they develop their behaviour, how to speak to them in THEIR language and how we can become a calm, reliable and fair "partner" to them, the better the outcome for the horses are.

And that of course leads to a deeper connection between horse and rider, but based on understanding and trust, not on fear, obedience and force.

If you know better, you can do better. And learning never stops and behaviour patterns can be changed, in both horse and human.

Keep learning and ask questions 🙏🐴❤️.

🐴Can hypnotherapy help if I know what I should do but still feel nervous when riding?

🙏Many riders understand their fear logically, yet still experience tension, anxiety or a loss of confidence in the saddle.

Hypnotherapy resolves the subconscious patterns behind those reactions, helping you feel calmer, regain your confidece and enjoy your riding again.

You will also get a tailored audio recording, created just for you after the session. This will strengthen the shifts you made during the session even more and is a good resource to use if you ever need a confidence boost.🙏😀

Interested if Hypnotherapy could be an option to resolve your anxiety, overthinking or self doubt in riding and competing?

Just message me and we can have a chat if this could be an option for you😀❤️🐴

A great reminder about horses brain and therefore behaviour:

"The equine brain is not build for OBEDIENCE.
It is built to keep a prey animal alive:to scan the environment, detect what matters, predict what might happen next, and guide action in ways that protect safety and preserve connection."

From the book:
"A horses life" by Dr.Steven Peters (Equine Neuroscientist), Mark Rashid and Crissy Mc Donald

This is fact backed by science.

I am thinking, the more we understand horses from a HORSES perspective, the better we can engage with them.

Connection with a human that is calm, focused and present certainly helps a horse to learn and thrive.

Nobody is perfect and don't have to be. 🙏🐴

When I think about how I have sometimes ridden, trained and handled my horse, or let others engage with my horse 20 years ago, I feel sorry for my horse.

But I did not know it better 20 years ago and constantly learned more, raised more questions, changed perspective and did a lot of research so I could understand more and do better.

Certainly the information and science research has provided so much more insights as well over the last 20 years.

So,stay curious, never stop asking questions, and try to learn more everyday 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

❤️🐴🙏

Happy weekend ❤️🐴😀
