🌟 50th Milestone Game 🌟

Southern Rugby would like to acknowledge Jesse Parete for his upcoming 50th Premier Game for Southern Sharks this weekend vs clifton_prems

Born and bred in Manaia, Jesse has proudly worn the Southern jersey for over a decade - 13 years to be exact. Along the way he’s taken his game to the Highlanders, Chiefs, Taranaki, France, America and just about every corner of the rugby world but somehow he has always found his way back to Southern 🦈

Jesse is a loyal club man who always gives his all when he puts on the jersey. You might catch an elbow or two out there but he’s always playing with his heart and not just for himself but for the whole team. A man who sets the standard at training with his effort and knowledge, who brings the mood up and the mongrel out of every player in the team. Guaranteeing they put their strongest foot forward each week. On the field his work rate is second to none. Having Jesse on your side means someone’s always got your back! He’s that kind of player!

Once referred to as the “niggliest player in Naki club rugby” he has proven himself to be a quality utility player mastering multiple positions. To quote Benty “chuck him in the front row and he’d still manage to cause some trouble for the opposition”. Although preferred as his back up in the scrum at #4 or as a dynamic #8 he’s pretty sure you could put him anywhere and he’d still be putting points on the board. Get him on the wing this weekend do we think?
