Mitre 10 Park is the region's most exciting sports, recreation and events hub. The Park consists of the following:

- a world class Athletics track
- 2,500 seat grandstand
- 200 square metre fitness room
- 7 sports fields with designated changing room building
- A Netball centre including 18 courts, shelters & practice surfaces
- sealed parking for 700 cars
- extensive changing, shower and

toilet facilities
- a 2.3km limestone cycling/running track
- An outdoor aquatic facility - 8,500 cubic meters (4 canoe polo pools)
- A Hockey Stadium - comprising a fully floodlit half & full turf of Tier 1 international standard
- Cycle skills course complete with traffic lights & road markings
- The Y Outdoor Adventure Hub and Climbing Wall

The venue is used for sports, events and recreation. Hirers include sporting bodies, schools, companies, iwi, individuals and event organisers.

We're delighted to officially welcome Joanne Elliott and Berry Good Real Fruit Ice Cream to Mitre 10 Park.

After a fantastic reception during their recent visit, Joanne will now be a regular feature at the park, serving up delicious real fruit ice creams, refreshing drinks, and sweet treats for players, supporters, and families to enjoy.

You'll find the Berry Good food truck at the sports fields every Saturday, ready to help make your game day even sweeter.

Our neighbours at the Community Fitness Centre Trust are currently resurfacing the pool carpark.

If you're visiting Mitre 10 Park over the coming days, please allow a little extra time for parking.

Where possible, visitors who are able to walk comfortably are encouraged to use the car park at the city end of the Hawke's Bay Regional Aquatic Centre. This will help keep parking spaces closest to the Gym available for members, patients, and visitors who require easier access, as well as other sporting codes at this end of the park.

A stunning start to the day at Mitre 10 Park, with the sunrise lighting up the sky behind the hockey floodlights.

Among the early starts and busy schedules, Papatūānuku and Ranginui put on quite a display.

Thanks to 𝑻𝒂𝒑𝒖 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒏 for capturing this early morning view - a reminder that every great day at the park starts long before the first whistle blows.

We’re thrilled to announce that the resurfacing of the athletics track at Mitre 10 Park has received a major funding boost thanks to generous support from the Lotteries Community Facilities fund and a significant donation from local businessman Craig Hickson.

Originally built in 2007, the track has supported thousands of athletes, schools, clubs and community members over the years, from everyday walkers and runners through to elite athletes representing our region on the world stage.

This project will ensure that Mitre 10 Park continues to provide a high-quality, accessible facility for future generations of Hawke’s Bay athletes and our wider community.

A huge thank you to Craig Hickson, and the Lotteries Community Facilities fund, and everyone who has supported the project so far through our Adopt a Metre campaign and wider fundraising efforts. Your support is helping secure the future of athletics in Hawke’s Bay.

Winter sport is now well and truly underway, bringing plenty of new visitors through the park and we want to hear your thoughts!

Over the past few months, traffic management trials have been taking place across the park to improve flow, safety, and the overall customer experience. Thanks to the feedback already received from our park community, we’ve been able to make a number of positive changes, including:

• Installing a mirror to improve visibility for traffic turning right onto Percival Road
• Changing some 90-degree parks to angled parking near the athletics stadium
• Adding reflective directional arrows to planter boxes
• Adding additional signage to more clearly indicate entry and exit points

We appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share feedback so far - and we encourage you to keep it coming as we continue refining traffic flow and parking around the park.
