Last weekend we had my swim clubs prizegiving it was amazing. I had a blast and I wanted to say thank you to for helping me this past year and everyone else supporting me and huge thanks to Johnny Yang for the photos.

Well, what a meet for Jonty this weekend in Wellington.
Dispatched with Joe Howland as Team Manager and the rest of his team on Friday.
8 events entered, 3 NZ Records (6 actually) and lots of lessons learned in the process.
Really appreciate everyone's support both near and far ... next event for us is NZ Short Course in the new pool in Christchurch in Sept/Oct.

Tonight I had the honour of opening up the New Zealand Secondary School Championships by sharing the athletes oath of sportsmanship.
Quite a surprise to be asked and something ill remember forever.

Lido Spotlight – Jonty Howland

This week we are shining the spotlight on an incredible young athlete, Jonty Howland. Jonty is a 15 year old para swimmer from Manawatū who continues to inspire everyone around him with his determination, resilience and work ethic.

Training 4–5 times a week, he's already represented New Zealand, broken multiple national records and has his sights firmly set on the 2032 Paralympic Games.

Beyond the medals and records, Jonty is a passionate advocate for inclusion, encouraging young people of all abilities to get involved in sport and believe in what's possible.

We're incredibly proud to have Jonty as part of our Lido family and can't wait to see what he achieves next

Slowly unpacking and adjusting back to NZ time. Still pinching myself about the awesome time I had and the experiences.

Pretty happy with my personal bests I achieved and goals smashed however this is one I did not expect.
