Waikato Clay Target Club Waikato Clay Target Club, one of two New Zealand National grounds that provides for all disciplines Coaching is available when requested.

The Waikato Clay Target club conducts regular DTL, S***t, ISSF Trap Shooting and Sporting competitions each month and practice on Saturday’s and Thursday evening’s (during daylight savings):

Currently the club is in the design phase of significant redevelopment to position the club amongst the leading shooting grounds in Australasia. This is a well patronised and busy facility that offers a broad range of disciplines which will suit everybody, from the very competitive shooter to the recreational. New members or informal shooters are always welcome, our rules let you take part in two of our shoots without becoming a member, then membership applies and with it affiliation to the NZ Clay Target Association. All inquiries can be made in person, by phone to the office, or through our website. Full Membership $60.00
Family Membership $120.00
Junior Membership $30.00

Full Membership - for 1 person

Family membership - for 2 adults and 2 under 18 year olds or both still at secondary school

Junior Membership - for under 18 years old on the 1st January of the year of registration

🎯 Waikato Clay Target Club – Father’s Day Shoot 🎯

A fantastic day at Waikato Clay Target Club for our Father’s Day Shoot, with 15 teamstaking on a great mix of Continental, DTL and Sporting.

The weather certainly added to the challenge, with some pretty blustery conditions, but that didn’t stop plenty of good shooting, friendly competition and lots of laughs throughout the day.

🏆 Congratulations to the Goodwin Team (Johnny & Karl Goodwin), who came away as our overall winners!

🎁 Spot prizes were also awarded to five other teams, and every junior received a bar of chocolate! 🍫

A great day with lots of fun had by all. Thanks to everyone who came along, braved the wind and helped make our Father’s Day Shoot such an enjoyable event.

Waikato members Alan Anderson, Lachlan Emslie and Cameron Emslie had a great day out at the Taupo clay target club on Sunday. Club champs events were hard fought over and with a solid contingent of Huntly shooters turning up there were no easy wins! Alan anderson cleaned up in B grade with 1st in Points score, 1st in Ball trap, 2nd in Single barrel, 2nd in single rise and took out the B grade high gun for the day!
Lachlan took 2nd A grade Single barrel, junior Single rise and HOA in the Ball trap.i.1

Cameron Emslie noted only shot the final event being Ball trap with a sore hand but managed a solid 19/25 to win 1st in Grade!
