🏉🔥 OTAGO ISLANDERS TAKING ON JUNIOR OCEANIA TAG FOOTBALL! 🔥🏉
This past weekend, two of our very own Otago Islanders boys, Ariki & Sefo, had the incredible opportunity to represent their Cook Islands Nation at the Junior Oceania Cup 2025 up in Auckland! 🇨🇰💚
What. A. Weekend. 😮💨💥 From the moment we arrived, we knew this was next level! We came with an open mind, no expectations—just ready to soak in the experience and test ourselves in the fastest version of footy we’ve ever seen!
Although our boys played in the Non-Competition U12s grade, don’t let that fool you—it was fierce, intense, and full of adrenaline for both players and parents alike! 🏃♂️⚡ The speed, footwork, and skill on display were insane. These kids up here LIVE & BREATHE this game, and it showed!
But here’s what made us proud—Ariki & Sefo may not have had the experience, but they adapted FAST. 💪🔥 They took on the challenge, learned on the go, and held their own in a game they had never played at this level before. That’s the Otago Islanders spirit right there—RESPECT, CULTURE, UNITY, RESILIENCE!
One thing is for sure—we’re bringing a team to Nationals in December! 🚀 We’ve seen firsthand what it takes, and we KNOW our Otago kids will love this game! If you’re keen to be part of something special, watch this space—we’re coming back stronger!
