Dunedin Gymnastic Academy Welcome to DGA- The largest Gymnastics club in Otago. We also take bookings for schools and parties! We offer classes for preschoolers through to adults.

We offer Recreational Gymnastics, Competitive Gymnastics, Tumbling, Trampoline, Parkour, Silks, Adult Classes and Preschool classes. The variety of programmes offered range from non-competitive gymnastics, competitive boys and girls artistic gymnastics, trampolining, aerobics, adults, silks, parkour, tramp/tumble and and preschool gymnastics. DGA would like to put out a big Thank You to Pub Charities, who helped to fund a new beam for the gym. Their $8000 generous donation made it possible for us to raise the rest of the money to purchase the beam. The Executive Committee went to Cableways for dinner last month as a way of showing our appreciation for their generosity and support. We are still waiting for delivery of the beam, which is expected in the next few weeks.

All gym classes will continue as scheduled today, but both gyms will close at 7pm.
If you live in a snow affected area, we understand if you can not make it to gym today.
Please ensure your children have warm clothes to wear as the gyms will be particularly cold.

This past weekend some of our competitive trampoline and tumbling athletes participated in the National CSG competition in Christchurch.

5 of our senior WAG squad travelled to Wellington last weekend, to compete at the Central Championships, hosted at Hutt Valley Gymnastics. All 5 athletes did amazingly well! In Step 7, Grace gained her qualification score which has been hard fought for - getting 42.9 twice now! (Needed 43) And she qualified for the second day competition. Zinara, also in Step 7 placed 2nd on Vault, 4th on Floor and qualified for day 2.
Sam competed in Step 8, placed 2nd on Bar, 3rd= Vault and competed her new vault for the 2nd time ever.
Our Step 10ā€™s, Charli & Saki were impressive in both their level of skill and their consistency. Saki placed 1st overall šŸ„‡and in Apparatus finals was 2nd on Vault, 1st on Bar, 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Floor!
Charli placed 3rd overall šŸ„‰, and then 1st on Vault, 1st on Beam and 2nd on Floor. She also competed her new Yurchenko vault beautifully as well as competing a double back on floor for the first time.
We are so proud of all these girls - we hope you enjoy this reel.

The latest Skeggs Foundation funding round is now open!

Since 1993, the Skeggs Foundation has been supporting the development of Otago's sporting talent. Today, we invest in athletes, coaches and officials who are progressing through representative and performance pathways.

This round, we will be distributing fewer, but larger grants to maximise the impact of funding.
