** PEDAL TO PUB - ARC COASTAL CONNECTION LOOP **

Thanks to all who braved some frigid temps to join us for a sunny slog up the coastal connection trail!
We were stoked to see so many folk traveling to a ride a little further afield, and after some less than ideal recent weather.
All riders topped out at Mopanui Ridge, before a small group traversed the ridge to the road end; all returning back down the Coastal Connection trail - an epic asset for the local community!
All mahi deserves treats, so we finished it off with some loaded fries and a selection of tasty brews at Arc Brewing Co.

We will do it all again on the 29th of August, meeting out at Portobello for a lap of the inlets.

** PEDAL TO PUB - EMERSONS SIGS RECAP **

A huge thank you to all who joined us for a couple of loop options from Emerson’s Brewery last weekend!
We had one group climb their way to the tippy top of Signal Hill, scale the infamous Cleghorn climb, dodge a little livestock, descend Upper Junction Road, then back along the harbour.
All while a second group tackled a slightly more sedate Signal climb, descending through Ravensbourne, before heading back to Emerson’s to get a head start on the beverages and snacks.
It was a fantastic turn out, and great to see a mix of new and familiar faces.

We will do it all again on Saturday the 1st of August!!
This time, a couple of loop options that take advantage of the stunning new Coastal Connection track out of Waitati, with après at ARC Brewery. Expect slightly shorter routes, with even more stunning views!
More details to come.

** NIGHT RIDE INTRO **

The evenings are darker, but we're keen to help you stay out and about!
Nat and Jenny have kindly offered to run an Intro to Night Riding for those of you who haven't previously ventured out on the trails after dark.
If you don't currently have a night light set up - we've made some notes to help guide you through what to look for - see post images for more details.

What: Night Riding Introduction Ride
When: 6pm, Wednesday 22nd April
Where: Redwoods Mountain Bike Trails, Dunedin
Who: Any local women keen for a casual, supportive, night ride on Grade 3/4 trails

Great way to experience a downhill race and be part of the hype even if you don’t want to enter - bring a friend / family member, join the heckling, plus score a free entry for someone else ☺️🙏

🚨 Urgent Call for Volunteers – Dirty Dunners DH is only 2 weeks away! 🚨

We are seriously short on marshals and van drivers, and we can’t run this event without you. If you’ve ever enjoyed the trails, the racing, or the MTB community here in Dunedin, this is the moment where your help genuinely makes the difference.

✅ Marshals — You’ll be stationed along the course helping keep riders safe, spotting issues, and keeping the race flowing smoothly. It’s one of the best ways to be right in the action without being on the bike. No prior experience required - just need to be over 16 years of age

✅ Van Drivers — You’ll help shuttle riders to the top, keeping the day running on schedule. Only a full license required.

💥 Volunteer perk: Every volunteer can nominate a rider for FREE race entry. It’s a massive help for the event and a huge boost for a mate wanting to race.

Every year this event relies on volunteers to make it happen, and right now we need people more than ever. If we don’t get enough support, the event simply can’t run as planned.

If you can spare a few hours, step up and join the team. Your help directly supports racing in Dunedin and keeps events like this alive.
