Today we acknowledge an incredible wahine who has been part of The Movement whฤnau for the past 6 years - Hayley Hiko
Hayley is the wife of our captain,Chey Hiko, but more than that, she has become an important part of our sideline support team and wider whฤnau.
As a registered nurse, Hayley brings valuable medical knowledge, care, and experience to every game day. Youโll often see Hayley checking in on injured players, carrying out assessments on the sideline, and making sure our brothers are looked after properly after taking knocks during games.

โThe Clive 3rds may be an aging team, but each week they still push themselves physically and mentally like theyโre in their 20s. With the increased risk of concussion, injuries, underlying health conditions, and rare medical emergencies that can come with older athletes, having a medically trained person present is an important safety measure. Immediate assessment and treatment can prevent minor injuries from becoming serious, support safe return-to-play decisions, and ensure rapid response in emergencies, while also reassuring players, whฤnau, referees, and the club that player welfare is being prioritised.โ
Thank you, Hayley, for everything you do for The Movement. Your aroha, manaaki, and dedication never go unnoticed.
