❤️🖤 We're sending our well wishes to Canterbury icon Gavin Green as he prepares to represent New Zealand this coming week at the IWWF World Over 35 Water Ski Championships at Predator Bay in Canada.

His prelims start on Wednesday with Jump, and Trick on Thursday and Slalom on Friday.

Great to hear via Shane “A new Guinness World Record is now confirmed".

Bryan Murray from New Zealand is officially the oldest waterskier (male) in the world.

94 years and 318 days

Additionally winning 2 golds, tricks and slalom at the recent New Zealand Waterski Nationals.

He really is amazing” and we agree a NZ LEGEND. Congratulations Bryan 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

❤️🖤 The Canterbury Water Ski Team has once again claimed the Overall Team Trophy at the 2026 NZ Water Ski Nationals held at Lake Kerata!

Here's just a handful of the week's highlights:

Kate Wood – U10 Overall Champion
Fletcher Coleman - U14 Boys Overall Champion
Gavin Green – unstoppable in Over 65 Men
Bryan Murray – 75+ clean sweep at almost 95!
Alex King - O21 Mens Overall Champion
Sam Bainbridge - U21 Men and Open Mens Overall Champion

From juniors to legends, this team had it all. There has been so much hard work put in this season, this is a fantastic group effort and a great achievement for Canterbury water skiing.
