CWA trip coming up 😀

🌤️ The Gathering - Weekend at Lake Clearwater! 🌄

Join us on Friday 27th Feb - Sunday 1st March 2026 for the CWA Autumn weekend in the Canterbury High Country!

🏕️ Camping:
Basic camping available — $10 per night per vehicle (cash only).

No shop facilities beyond Mt Somers & No dogs permitted around the lakes 🐕

🌬️ High Country weather = come prepared for anything!

Whether you’re come for the full weekend or just a day-trip, it’s a great opportunity to catch up, meet new faces, and enjoy the fresh High Country breezes. The hall is not available, so bring your own food and drinks, impromptu gatherings will no doubt occur around the campground post water and mountain fun.

Relax, catch up, and enjoy the views. See you there!

Lake Ellesmere Sunday 15th Feb for freesailers. 9am back 4pm.

Estuary windsurfing is cancelled this weekend, southerly offshore winds are not fun for learning. Next lesson Wednesday evening 18th.

🌊 Lake Ellesmere Plan 💨
Southerly will be ideal for a field trip to Lake Ellesmere. About an hour drive, huge space of water, mostly waist/chest deep and perfect for intermediates who have tried a beach start and harness. We'd hold a water start clinic at the start.

Meet at the club shed for 9am, pick your kit and load roof racks. Windsurf 11-2. Back to the shed to unload at 3 and done by 4.

Cost will be fuel to drivers and road snacks.

We are closed over the long weekend, southerlies with not much wind and early tides.

We are open next weekend with favourable tides. Afternoon sessions are available next weekend as well as on Monday and Tuesday.

A massive weekend, 21 folk on the water with our club alone! Great to see windsports in all forms blasting about the estuary.
