Meet Sumin.

Sumin Kang joins Sir Bob Charles Golf Centre as a first-year NZ PGA Trainee Professional.

Raised in Queenstown, Sumin has built an impressive playing career across South Island and international amateur golf. She represented Otago as their No.1 player, claimed multiple regional titles, and represented New Zealand on the world stage, including at the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship.

After two years in the United States competing for Northern Arizona University, Sumin has returned to New Zealand to begin her PGA traineeship.

She brings elite playing experience, a sharp understanding of the game, and a genuine passion for coaching and player development. Sumin will initially assist Jess and McKenzie across their programmes before stepping into coaching herself.
