Kim Hurst, one of our first customers and international CX pinner had her race bike stolen in Upper Hutt yesterday, details below if you see it. She needs it back so she can use the spare hangers we just built for it!

This bike was stolen last night from Silverstream Village between 7:45-8pm from a locked car roof rack. It is my race bike and I leave to compete in the USA one week today. I will pay a generous cash reward for its safe return. It can be returned to reception at Silverstream Health Centre, Upper Hutt or to Capital Cycles, Wellington no questions asked. It's been an interesting week here in Christchurch with the Port Hills and bike park being engulfed by fire and through an extrodinary effort by many fire crews from throughout Canterbury a large part of the infrastructure and homes have been saved.

We have seen countless fire engines, helicopters and water tankers all operated by people we'd like to give thanks to. We had been thinking about it, and we'd heard alot of people say "We'd like to buy everyone of those people a beer". So being the problem solving types we kicked the idea around the office and thought that if the local Mountain bike community each brought in a box of beers to the factory we'd load them up on our truck and go deliver them to the Fire Stations and Chopper bases around Canterbury that have done a stella job this week.

So, what we'd like you all to do is share this with your riding mates, put some intense pressure on the guy that never buys a post ride round of beers, get a few boxes together and bring them to the factory at 50 Columbia Ave, Hornby on Saturday or Sunday morning from 8-10ish (but we'll stay as long as it takes).

Please share this so we can show our appreciation to everyone that has worked so hard this week.
