Last Friday was our last meeting at Ruapuna Speedway for the 25/26 season. Felix did awesome and had some really good results qualifying 9th in the feature against 25cars, after 3 heats of racing. Felix did well enough to come away with driver of the day! The team is so proud of him in his 1st season at Speedway NZ tracks, he definitely has exceeded our expectations for a 8yo.

He has raced so clean and tidy he hasnt had any wrecks or caused any with others which is rare. We raced at 5 new tracks around the south island over the last few months and finished 95% of the races. Last Saturday we raced at Ashburton Speedway and Felix lead 7 laps before hitting a puddle and washing up track that let a couple past. We found a part failure that ended our day early so off to Ruapuna Speedway for the grand parade we went, He was privileged enough to be able to steer the Connor Rangi Motorsport 57 sprintcar!!

We still have acouple more meetings b4 our southisland season finishes and we can get into stripping the car and refreshing it for next season!

We would like to thank Uncle Zowie Wanhalla for all his dedication to Felix's racing this season, without him none of this would happen and our car wouldn't look immaculate everytime it arrives at a track, your Maintenance program is 💯 and doesnt go unnoticed!

It was a fantastic day for Felix at Ellesmere Motor Racing Club, marked by a prime starting position that enabled him to secure 5th place in the feature event. Initially, he ran in 3rd place for the first three laps, but unfortunately, he lost traction and fell back, allowing two other cars to overtake him. Despite this, the car demonstrated considerable speed, and we are confident that further improvements can be made. The team are pleased with the outcome. We now have a two-week break before competing in a double header at Ruapuna.

🏁🏁Race weekend update🏁🏁

Great weekend of racing for Felix, Saturday at Ruapuna Speedway with 33 cars, he ran nice and tidy and just missed the A main, so was off the front row of the B main where he came 2nd almost getting the win on the last corner!

Sunday at Ellesmere Motor Racing Club the track was perfect so we decided to play around with some setup changes. 9th in race 1, 9th in race 2 and 16th in the feature, Some really good passes and racecraft for an 8yo, just letting him go his own pace with no pressure is working well!

Felix was pushing the car hard so we've decided to give him a power upgrade for the rest of the season! Watch this space!

Race Weekend 🏁 🏁🏁

Felix has a big weekend of racing, first up on Saturday night we are at Ruapuna Speedway for round 5 of the Mike Greer Homes Nelson series, with 34 quater midgets registered it will be a wild night. Racing starts at 6pm! And sunday at Ellesmere Motor Racing Club racing starts at 1pm.
