Had an epic and rewarding day out with the annual West Coast Alpine Club Coaching clinic on Saturday! Really enjoyed checking in on a few regulars, and meeting an ever growing group of keen mtbers from the West Coast.
With the weather forecast for Sunday being less than ideal, we packed all the coaching content into one big day, and I so proud of everyone for keeping the energy and learning level high all day! A dramatic amount of improvement in body position and bike handling from all involved 🥳

Best of all, there’s talk of keeping this new riding crew going with weekly group rides! 🚲🚲🚲

An amazing weekend joining forces with to deliver the Ride Camp at ! Such a privilege to coach and ride with some amazing ladies and have a lot of laughs in the sun ☀️ Thanks .layn for all your hard work in organising 😇

Epic to see how much everyone improved and gained confidence with some back to back days riding.🤩Been loving doing these camp-styles events and can’t wait for the next one!

🌟One more sleep 🌟

and I can’t wait to welcome 16 women to the Waiau Toa tomorrow evening to kick off the inaugural Wāhine Weekend! So excited to meet you all and share our knowledge and bike skills, all wrapped up in a little pocket of paradise between the mountains and sea.

Best of all, the weather is looking perfect with ☀️☀️ on both days!

Spring is springing 🌺, the bike park is open 🚲 and we’re nearing in on Wāhine Weekend (10th to 12th November).

We need you and your friends to get involved so we can deliver this awesome weekend. Now is the time to rally the girls and click the ‘book now’ link to secure your spot!

We are super excited to be able to offer an awesome package that includes:
- 2x nights and dinner at the seaside accommodation
- 2x days full of coaching and shuttles
- Coaching in small groups tailored to ability level (intermediates coached separately to advanced)

Southern MTB Coaching is coming to Hokitika for coaching at the Blue Spur trails on the 14th -15th October!

There are two sessions available:
Introduction to Intermediate on Saturday 14th Oct 1pm
Intermediate trail skills on Sunday 15th Oct 9am

And, we are hosting a Koha ride for anyone that wants to come along for a social guided ride on the trails on Sunday 15th Oct at 1pm, with a donated koha going directly to Westland MTB Club to support their efforts!
