SISA-South Island Surfing Association

SISA-South Island Surfing Association SISA is the regional sports body for the sport of surfing in the South Island. Its aim is to promot Executive members are elected annually at AGM.

SISA is the regional sports body for the sport of surfing in the South Island and was incorporated in 1992. Its aim is to promote South Island Surfing and encourage member clubs to host events that will enable promising surfers to gain competitive experience for other national and international events. SISA has an executive membership of 6 under the Presidency of Tania Huria. All members of the Executive work on a voluntary basis. The affiliated membership currently stands at 16 clubs with a total of over 750 members. SISA caters for a broad cross section of the community and through the 16 affiliated clubs cover all the forms of surfing - longboard, shortboard, bodyboard and bodysurfing. SISA is affiliated to Surfing NZ, the national body for surfing in New Zealand.
