🌳 How long can you stand on one leg?
That’s often how we test our balance.
But here’s the problem…
That’s not how most everyday falls happen.
Balance isn’t just about staying still. It’s about what happens when you shift, step, turn, reach or suddenly lose your footing.
And the numbers matter: ACC recorded 839,565 new fall-related injury claims in 2025.
A fall can affect more than your body — it can impact your confidence, mobility and independence.
This is why I love Tai Chi. 🌿
Tai Chi trains balance while you move — shifting weight, coordinating your body, finding stability and adapting to change.
💚 Balance is a skill we can keep practising.
I’ve just written about why Tai Chi can be such a valuable practice for balance and fall prevention.
