🌧️ Canvastown MX Track Update 🌧️

With rain on the radar for most of the week, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a window of opportunity this Saturday or Sunday to get the machines out and push in an all-new sand track for everyone to enjoy.

If the weather plays ball, we’ll be working hard to have it ready so riders can get in some quality bike time over the weekend. A fresh layout and new challenges are always worth the effort!

We’ll keep you all in the loop as the week progresses and let you know how things are looking.

Good day at Canvastown MX Track today 👌

We’ve extended the mini / beginner track to take up more of the middle section of the main track, giving the younger and newer riders even more room to ride and progress. The mini track has been fully groomed, and we’ve also given the dirt track a fresh groom with a few alterations so it now runs around the outside of the mini track.

The sand track… well that’s a different story 😅 Currently it’s gone, but we’ll be rebuilding it soon with a completely new layout. Sometimes it’s good to get a fresh canvas and mix things up.

Canvastown MX Track update 🏁

Today the tractor and skid steer will be out and about doing a bit of grooming and tidying up around the track to keep things in good shape for everyone 👌

The track is still available to ride today, so don’t let that stop you from coming out for a few laps.

🏁 Exciting News from Canvastown MX Track! 🏁

We’re thrilled to welcome Great News Automotive Solutions in Blenheim as our newest track sponsor – thanks for jumping on board! 🙌

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be putting in an extended minis-only track for all our younger riders to enjoy. The main track will also be getting a makeover, with some exciting changes coming your way.

At the moment, the sand track has taken a bit of a hit from recent flooding. It still may be rideable, but some work will be needed soon.

NELSON/TASMAN & MARLBOROUGH - FLOODING - FINAL UPDATE 10:20AM SAT 9 MAY

State Highway 6 has RE-OPENED between Pelorus Bridge and Havelock township, following flooding overnight at Canvastown. Take extra care through the area and adhere to temporary speed limit signage.

• SH6 Pelorus to Havelock
• SH60 Tākaka at Pupu Valley Rd
• All other State Highways remain open

Canvastown MX Track Update

Looking at the weather across Nelson and Marlborough, it seems we’re in for a few wet days from Thursday through Sunday. 🌧️

At this stage, Canvastown is looking good for Sunday, but as we all know, things can change quickly. We’ll provide updates closer to or over the weekend. If the weather allows, we’ll get the Sand Track groomed so you can all enjoy a great ride! 🏁

🏁 Canvastown MX Track Update 🏁

Track conditions were perfect today after a fresh groom! We were a little light on riders, but that was expected with the Nelson trail ride this weekend and the Marlborough club running an open day tomorrow before the Peter Brown Memorial MX next weekend.

It was great to see riders out having fun and enjoying the track! Thanks for the feedback – glad you all had a blast. We’ll definitely be doing this again soon.
