Canvastown MX Track Update 🏁

All 3 tracks have had some love this morning! 👌

✅ Fresh new sand track with some fun layout changes
✅ Main dirt track groomed
✅ Mini track tidied up and ready to ride

🏁 Canvastown MX Track Update 🏁

Grooming is underway! We got an early start this morning to get everything looking mint.

✅ The sand track will be reopening today
✅ The dirt tracks are also getting some much-needed love

The track is open for everyone to ride today, just keep an eye out for the skid steer while we’re finishing things off.

As always, please register and pay online before riding, stick to the track rules, and keep your speed down on the local roads.

🏁 Canvastown MX Track Update 🏁

This Sunday we’ll be firing up the skid steer and getting stuck into some much-needed track repairs! 👌

The plan is to:
✅ Build in a fresh sand track.
✅ Do some touch-ups on the main track.
✅ Freshen up the mini track.
✅ Get back into our regular grooming routine.

Track maintenance has been a little slower than usual while we’ve waited for the worst of the winter weather to pass, but we’re looking forward to getting everything back into great shape for everyone to enjoy.

The tracks will still be open on Sunday, however the skid steer will be working around the tracks throughout the day. Please check where it’s operating before heading out for a ride. We’ll be avoiding any blind spots whenever riders are on the track, and we ask everyone to ride with a bit of extra awareness while maintenance is underway.

Thanks for your patience and support over winter—we’re looking forward to getting the tracks back to their best! 🤘🏍️

Canvastown MX Track Update 🏁

Just a quick update for everyone!

Tomorrow afternoon we’ll be pushing in a quick new sand track. It won’t be anything too spectacular, as we’ve only got a couple of hours available before heading over to the Marlborough MX Track, where we’ll be spending Monday to Wednesday extending their club motocross track.

Then next weekend we’ll be back at Canvastown MX doing some tidy-up work on both the dirt and sand tracks. We’re looking forward to getting everything back into great shape for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks for your patience over winter. These conditions definitely make it challenging, but we always do our best to keep a track open and rideable for everyone.

We appreciate all the support and look forward to seeing you out at the track soon! 👊🏍️

Canvastown MX Track Update 👌

Hey everyone, just a quick update.

The track is still open to ride, we’re just not actively advertising it at the moment. We’ve had a few decent rain events recently, so the track is a bit average compared to the standard we like to provide.

Our plan is to get in there, give it a full groom, reshape a few sections, and get everything back up to the quality we’re aiming for. At this stage, we’re planning a full groom on Sunday, 2 August (fingers crossed the weather starts playing ball by then! 🤞).

If you’re happy to ride it as it is, you’re more than welcome to head out. Just be aware the sand section has reportedly been washed away quite a bit. I haven’t had a chance to inspect it myself yet, but that’s the feedback from last weekend.

If you do come out to ride, please remember you’ll still need to register and pay via the link as normal. Please also respect the track rules, be considerate of our neighbours, and keep your speed right down on the local roads. We’d really appreciate everyone’s help with this. 👍

Once we’ve got everything freshened up, we’ll look at putting on something for everyone—whether that’s a ride day, coaching day, moto event, or maybe even some sprints. Stay tuned!

🌧️ Canvastown MX Track – Current Track Conditions 🌧️
A quick update for everyone heading out:
❌ Main dirt track – Too wet to ride at the moment.�❌ Mini track – Also too wet due to the recent rain.
✅ Sand track – It’s currently raining lightly, but the sand track is not under water at all. As soon as the rain clears, it will be good to ride and should dry quickly.

🏁 Canvastown MX Track – Open Tomorrow from 9:00 AM! 🏁

The sand tracks have all been freshly groomed and are looking mint! 🔥

The main dirt track is still a bit wet, but it should be rideable for those keen to get some laps in.

If you’re looking for a great place to ride tomorrow, come on down and enjoy the fresh conditions.

🔥 Canvastown MX Track Update 🔥

The sand track has had some work done this morning! 👌

We’ve made some new section adjustments to improve:
🏁 Better flow
💨 Smoother riding lines
↔️ Wider outside lines through most corners

For those who enjoy a challenge, we’ve deliberately left the inside lines rough so you can choose between the fast, smooth outside or tackling the rough stuff.
