Love bikes, storytelling and social media? 🚲

We're looking for a Social Media & Communications Coordinator to help keep our Bike Hubs visible, connected and thriving.

This 12-month fixed-term role (15 hours per week) is perfect for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, building community connections, and sharing the stories that make Auckland's Bike Hubs so special.

You'll spend much of your time managing and growing our Bike Hub pages, creating photos, videos and content from across the network, while also supporting communications for our wider active and sustainable transport initiatives.

Based partly at our New Lynn office, with opportunities to visit Bike Hubs and capture content around Auckland.

📅 Applications close Friday 3 July.

A couple of weeks ago a local came by to look for a bike for her daughter after as a gift. Today, she came back and showed us this gem. She carefully took the bike apart, put stickers all over the frame and clear coated it to protect it. She came back to us so that we could give it a check over and make sure everything went back correctly. It was such an honour to be part of such a unique and fun gift!

Onehunga meet Zara! who has recently moved into the Coordinator role at our Bike Hub.

Many of you may already know Zara from Bike Hub Queens Wharf, where they have been Coordinator for the past year. Before that, they spent six months as an Assistant Coordinator at Bike Hub Forrest Hill, building their skills and getting to know the Bike Hubs community.

What Zara loves most about Bike Hubs is the people:

"I love meeting all the people that are passionate about contributing to our local bike culture and the lives of each other too. I've never met a place like it.

The chance to do something that helps people so deeply really is a gift that I am super grateful for!"
