🌶️ JUNE HIKE 🌶️

We’re heading back to Titirangi for a local hike, surrounded by the scenic views of the Manuka Harbour & Lower Nihotupu Reseeve.

Post hike coffee and treats at The Crafty Baker 😋😋

🌶️ MAY HIKE 🌶️

We’re heading back into the Waitākere Ranges for our May hike.

Join the Spicy Shoelace Club on Saturday 23rd May at 9:30am for the Kuataika Track that has recently reopened in the Waitākere Ranges.

This recently re-opened track is a 9km out and back, so we will be doing only half of the track and turning back at 5km. A progression of the whole track will be done in November where we do the full track to test our fitness levels 😍😍🌶️🌶️

This walk takes us through the forest to Kuataika Trig, where you will enjoy lovely views. Be prepared for steep sections and stream crossing on the way, but lots of fun!!

📍 Meeting point: Access from Anawhata Road - a small carpark is located at the trailhead.

Reignite your spice levels this Mother’s Day, a special morning dedicated to our mums.

Join Angad and Niki at Barry Curtis Park for a session of mindful movement. We have a small surprise starting for everyone this Mother’s Day: a 30-45 minute movement session at Barry Curtis Park.

All paces, ages, and levels are welcome, so bring your parents, friends, and furry companions for a beautiful morning together.

🌿 MARCH MOVEMENT 🌶️👟

We’re heading back into the Waitākere Ranges for our March hike.

Join the Spicy Shoelace Club on Sunday 22nd March at 9:00AM for the Zion Hill Track Loop in the Waitākere Ranges.

This recently re-opened track is a 8.5KM loop taking us through coastal forest, nīkau gullies, wetlands and sand dunes, with epic views across Karekare Beach and the Tasman Sea.

Expect some climbs, some beautiful views, lots of fun and a rewarding adventure.

🌿 LET’S GO HIKING 🌶️👟

Come along and join the Spicy Shoelace Club as we head to Long Bay Regional Park - Okura Track for our next coastal adventure.

Expect stunning ocean views, rolling green hills and that fresh sea air that hits different 🌊

Think:
• Scenic coastal trails
• Cliffside views
• Good company
• Proper nature reset

The track is well maintained, but appropriate covered footwear is required.

Bring:
• Water bottle
• Snacks
• Sun protection

Distance: 8-10KM
Time: 9:00AM start

Our first Blockhouse Bay walk 😍😍

Spicy Shoelace Club has found its permanent home in Blockhouse Bay - the home where the journey all began.

To move your body is a privilege, and we are so excited to build and grow a healthier BHB 🩷

Our Community, our Blockhouse Bay 🩷

Blockhouse Bay has been our home for the past 25 years, it’s where I was born and brought up, alongside my mum, dad, older sister, and now our two dogs.

Over the past few years, I’ve been on my own health and weight-loss journey after Covid, and it taught me just how important it is to keep our bodies healthy, and it’s more fun doing it together.

So together with my parents, we wanted to create something that brings people of all ages together, so we started Spicy Shoelace Club: a fun, feel-good and inclusive movement club to encourage us all to stay active and healthy.

My mum and dad try to keep as active as they can, but we know it’s always more fun when we do it together. That’s what Spicy Shoelace Club is all about, moving our bodies, sharing some laughs, and building a stronger, healthier community.

📍 Meeting point: Blockhouse Bay Library

Every Sunday morning at 8:30am, everyone is welcome, bring your kids, your dogs and your neighbours!!

Come along and let’s make Blockhouse Bay a stronger and healthier community together.

This Saturday we’re heading to Clevedon with our intended spicy crew for a hike at the Wai Puweto Loop @ Waitawa Regional Park
