Recently I was blessed to work with Paradisum The Big Sing 2026 finale and their wonderful team, teachers, accompanists and aiga (thank you to my alga for looking after kids and borrowing equipment), parents (Selena, Sam, Lia's cousin and dad - we made 60 hair adornments together). It really does take a village, with lots of rehearsals, teachers support, family pick up and drop offs, travel time.

Paradisum won the Big Sing Pasifika Award (first of its kind) for the best performance of a piece in a Pasifika language sponsored by The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Pacific at the University of Auckland - Waipapa Taumata Rau for 'Tupulaga Samoa' by Juliana Sopoaga Lologa and Joyce Louise Toleafoa. The piece was originally written for Teine Epesoma (Epsom Girls) in 2011 by Juliana Sopoaga Lologa and Joyce Louise Toleafoa who at the time were students of P**A (Pacific Island Performing Arts) a brilliant performing arts program for Pasifika students. So many wonderful artists taught and studied at P**A. I really hope one day there will be another P**A. Please enjoy this beautiful piece, I am so proud of the students. It includes one of our beautiful teaching assistants, see if you can spot her. :) :)
