Most people don't want to end up on the ground in a real confrontation.
In Krav Maga, we spend a lot of time learning how to stay on our feet, maintain balance, create distance, and avoid being taken down in the first place.
However, real situations don't always go to plan.
That's why we also train how to strike, defend, and move from a variety of ground positions. Whether you're on your back, on your side, mounted by an attacker, or trying to create space from underneath pressure, you'll learn practical skills designed for self-defence rather than sport.
The goal is not to stay on the ground and "win" a grappling match.
The goal is to protect yourself, create an opportunity to escape, and get back to your feet as quickly as possible.
Ground fighting may be a last resort, but if you ever find yourself there, having a plan can make all the difference.
Train for the reality of self-defence.
Train to stay safe.
Train to get home.
