Auckland Off Road Racing Club caters for everyone wanting to go off road and we welcome new members. 
We meet for club night every "First Wednesday" of the month at The Bee Keepers Wife restaurant/cafe at 7.30pm Riverhead town centre. You can join us as a visitor, as an associate member, a volunteer, or a competition member. We also cater for trail riding on a regular basis.
We concentrate on our

racing schedule and provide membership for drivers to compete in local events and in the ORANZ National Series. Our signature event is The Woodhill 100 off road race held every Queens Birthday Weekend ( since 1982 ) in the Woodhill Forest.
Formed in 1976 as the Auckland Buggy Club ( ABC ), we were the first group formed to cater for the beach buggy era, holding fun events and endurance races in the RNZAF Bombing Range at South Head, Kaipara, north of Auckland. The Off Road Association Of New Zealand ( ORANZ ) was formed in 1984 establishing the National Competition Series. This gives every driver the opportunity to compete at the highest level.

Here is one of my favorite photos from the 2026 Woodhill 100.
I did the qualifying lap in my Dads truck, 412 and it felt fast until I saw the starting grid. I cant imagine how fast you would have to be going to get in the top spot so congratulations to Daynom Slim Templeman for qualifying first.

The race had a great mixture of classes battling with each other and seeing heaps of class 3s in the top 5. I thought Daynom had it with the lead he had created, such a shame for Nick Leahy not finishing, well done Brett Jones for finishing his first Woodhill and to Dad for being the first truck home.

A massive well done to 157 Tony McCall for getting his 7th Woodhill 100 win, great to see you finish in first!!! Well done to 203 Noah Hutchison in second and 310 Connor Nicklin closely following in third, with 377 Mike Gibson close behind in 4th.

Well done to everyone for coming out and racing.
