How 120kg moves now vs 2 years ago. The crazy part about this is I haven’t been training my deadlift like I was back in 2024. This is my 2nd set of lifts in over a year

The only things that have changed is my style of training, I’ve continued educating myself, and getting stronger.

Celebrating the small wins!

A lot of my clients say the hardest part about going to the gym is walking through the door, and once they are in the door then they have no idea what to do.

I decided to start a series where I explain the different ways you can use machines and what they target. Hope you enjoy xoxo

Kia Ora Whanau,

I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself. Things have been slowly moving in the background and it’s about time I started sharing that with all of you!!

My name is Izzy, I am a 24 year old Maori, Niuean girl from west Auckland.

I got into fitness through sport, especially rugby, but my passion for Personal Training really came from my experience with endometriosis. Going through chronic pain and navigating training while feeling constantly let down by my body was honestly one of the hardest periods of my life. At times, fitness stopped feeling empowering and started feeling frustrating because so much of the advice out there didn’t reflect what it’s actually like living with a complex condition. You just can’t teach lived experience.

This completely changed the way I viewed training and coaching. I remember wishing I had someone who understood both the physical and mental side of it, someone who could help me work with my body instead of against it. That’s now the approach I bring to Personal Training.

My coaching style is supportive, realistic, and tailored to the individual. I love helping people build confidence, strength, and trust in themselves again. While I’m wanting to dedicate this portion of my career to Women’s health I want to be someone that people feel makes a difference in their lives. Whether they’re athletes, beginners, or managing injuries or chronic conditions. I want training to feel challenging in the best way, but also safe and empowering.

If you’ve been thinking about starting/getting back into the gym and feel like you would align well with my style of coaching DM “Complex Bodies” for a free 1 hour session Auckland city!!!

Ngā Mihi,
Izzy
