This is a final call for our AGM. If you are part of the club or want to be part of it, please come along and support us. RSVP needed asap. We can’t continue to make it better without more members there is only a small handful who make up the committee and we need more! Our club members are 2-14 year olds from balance bike to mountain bike it’s nothing serious just gaining skills, making friends and having fun on your bike. We have big plans for this coming season for a new pump track but need more members to make it happen :)

Situation vacant! Our club needs help to keep our grounds tidy, unfortunately our mower is at the end of its days so we need to hire someone for regular mowing. We would need an invoice for this service and we would require you to have a catcher, in summer this would need to be weekly closer to a Wednesday as possible ( as we train from 4pm Wednesdays and part of it is done on the grass) Please email our club a quote if you can help us out.

Here they are! our North Canterbury BMX riders looking very smart in their New Zealand race jerseys! All 13 of our riders are making their way to Australia to begin their final preparations ahead of the UCI BMX Racing World Championships, with racing kicking off on 22 July.

We are so proud of every one of them. The hard work and countless hours of training they’ve put in especially through cold winter nights.

Let’s go team! 🙌 We can’t wait to follow along and will be cheering you on from home every step of the way!!! 🖤🤍

The Hurunui BMX Club is raising funds to build a new all-weather pump track that will be FREE and open to the community 24/7.

This exciting project will create a safe, fun space for BMX riders, mountain bikers, scooter riders, balance bike riders, and families to enjoy all year round.

💙 Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to making this community facility a reality.

Join the North Canterbury BMX riders heading to Worlds for a fun Quiz Afternoon as we raise money to help each of the riders travelling to the Worlds Championships in Brisbane. Gather your friends, family, or workmates and see if your team has what it takes to take out the top spot!

⏰ Doors open 3.30pm
👥 Teams of up to 6 adults
💰 $150 per team
🍔 Burgers (chicken & beef) available to pre-order at registration
Note: A sharing platter will be provided for each team
🥤Range of beverages will be available to purchase at the event

There will be plenty of laughs, great quiz rounds, spot prizes, silent auction and a mega raffle running up to & on the day as well. All funds raised will go towards supporting the riders with entry costs, flights, insurance & accommodation costs.

This is really frustrating to see this video circulating on social media . This is not what the bmx track is for, I know it is probably really fun and we hate to be the fun police but we really don’t have the spare cash for repairing any damage caused by these kind of bikes they can cause big ruts and make it very unsafe for our younger riders . We love our track and love that we can have it open to the community 24/7 please don’t abuse that privilege and take your motorbikes / electric bikes elsewhere. Thank you

Well that’s a wrap! A huge thank you to our coaches for inspiring these young riders, and a big thank you to our sponsors who keep our club going with their ongoing support each season. Another big thanks to our committee members and parents who help out each week. The track is open to the public year round but we would just like to remind you that if the track is wet please keep off it. BMX will start back up term 4. Enjoy your Easter holidays and we will see you again in the summer terms 4 & 1 ☀️
