ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EVs)
An electric vehicle (EVs) is a vehicle powered by an electric motor that draws current from a rechargeable storage battery, which replaces the motor in gas-powered vehicles and is responsible for its performance, efficiency, and other features. Both consumers and governments welcome EVs technology as an effective solution for significantly restrain carbon emissions. Incentive programs and education play a crucial role in promoting a broader understanding of how EVs work and their abundant benefits.
In context of Nepal ,
The electric vehicle market has experienced growth worldwide in the past few years In last few years the import of the Electric vehicle (EV) is increased rapidly in Nepal. According to Nepal Automobile Dealers' Association, there are around 15,000. EVs operating and growth in 15% annually in the country and their sales started rising in the last two fiscal years following a dramatic rise in the fossil-fuel prices. Government policies aimed at encouraging EV adoption. Nepal made a commitments in to net-zero carbon emission by 2045 at the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change (COP26) in Glasgow in November 2021. The government has targeted the usage of electric vehicles reaching 25 percent in 2025 and 90 percent in 2030. But the policies keep on changing. According to Automobile Dealers’ Association, there .This is beneficial for the country will have to import. But with infrastructure development in the electric vehicle sector going on at a snail’s pace, the sector is missing out a lot . Currently , Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is establishing 51 charging satiation and preparing for 10 more. Apart from that , the official selling complains of brands such as Thee Go, BYD,MG,Hyundai, Kia and TaTa are also setting up charging stations on highways and cities to promote electric vehicles in Nepal.
EV benefits include:
 Reducing carbon emissions.
 Decreasing operating costs.
 Minimizing noise pollution in urban areas.
 Lowering dependence on fossil fuel.
 Improving automotive efficacy.
 Due to their reduced engine noise, electric vehicles are significantly quieter than ICE vehicles and provide a quieter driving experience.
 Electric cars reduce dependence on fossil fuels and contribute to energy diversification efforts because they use electricity instead of fuel.
 In Nepal , the road tax for electrical vehicle is more less than the comparative fossil fuel vehicle.
EV Drawback include:
 EVs have a limited driving range on a single charge compared to ICE vehicles- typically between 200 to 300 miles per full charge.
 Installation and land acquisition costs, among other factors, have limited the development of charging infrastructure in rural and remote areas.
 Over time, EV batteries can degrade, reducing drive range and requiring expensive battery replacement.
 Charging EVs can take a long time compared to ICE vehicles — depending on the charger, anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours.
 Electric cars have a higher upfront purchase price than equivalent ICE vehicles because of the materials and complex electronics involved in EV and EV battery design.
While there are many advantages to owning electric cars, their disadvantages cause many consumers to hesitate to change their fossil Fuel Vehicle to electric vehicles. The EV companies must address these disadvantage to scale up for replacement of FFV.

Is the Electric vehicle cheaper than the fossil fuel vehicle for Public Transportation ?
• Yes , But due to proper supervision and the plane in the fair for the EV Public Transportation by Government there is not any kind of economic benefit to the Public.
For Example:
According to Mission Zero Emission, an electric bus in Sindhuli can charge a vehicle for a maximum of Rs 300 while a diesel vehicle plying that route will have to buy fuel worth Rs 4,000.
But the fair of the EV Greater than or equal to the fossil fuel Vehicle , it shows that the EV transporter is getting all benefits in road tax , road expenses of vehicle but the public not getting any benefits by using the Public EV transportation.
Conclusion :
Form above explanation it shows that the if fair of EV Public vehicle is cheaper than the fossil fuel vehicle; there is economic benefit to the public as well as use of the EV Public vehicle is also increase which make some the country independent in all factors.
