Nueve meses después de volver a enfundarme la camiseta del Sevilla FC con lágrimas de emoción en los ojos, me despido del sevillismo con lágrimas de gratitud. Gracias al club, a los compañeros, técnicos y empleados por esta temporada. Gracias a mi familia, mi apoyo eterno, y gracias, especialmente, a la afición del Sevilla FC, que supo disculpar mis errores y que me ha dado todo ese cariño que no se puede describir con palabras.
Firmé con el Sevilla, movido por dos ilusiones: la de rendirle un homenaje a Antonio Puerta, a José Antonio Reyes, a mis abuelos, que en paz descansen, y a mi padre; y la de demostrar mi sevillismo de la mejor forma que sé, dejándome la vida sobre el campo para ayudar al equipo en una situación delicada. Con orgullo y emoción puedo decir que se han cumplido las dos.
Concluye una etapa, finaliza la temporada y tiene que dar comienzo una nueva de la que no voy a formar parte. Tenía el sueño de despedirme del Sevilla en el Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán y mi sueño se ha cumplido.
Ha sido una temporada muy dura emocionalmente, muy exigente, pero he tratado de dar siempre el mejor ejemplo, la mejor versión. Aún no tengo decidido dónde voy a jugar la temporada que viene, pero esté donde esté, el Sevilla FC va a contar con el apoyo acérrimo de un sevillista de cuna y corazón. Muchas gracias a todos.


Nine months after pulling on the Sevilla FC jersey with tears of emotion in my eyes, it’s time to say goodbye to the Sevilla supporters, with tears of gratitude. Thanks to the club, my teammates, the coaching staff and employees for this season. Thanks to my family, my eternal support, and thanks, especially, to the Sevilla FC supporters, who were able to forgive my mistakes and who gave me all of this love that cannot be described in words.
I signed for Sevilla motivated by two ambitions. One, to pay homage to Antonio Puerta, to José Antonio Reyes and to my grandparents, may they rest in peace, and to my father; and two, to show my Sevillismo the best way I know: by leaving everything on the pitch to help the team in a difficult situation. I can proudly say that I achieved both.
That time has come to an end, the season has ended and the club look ahead to another one that I won’t be a part of. I had the dream of saying goodbye to Sevilla in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán and my dream has come true.
It was an emotionally difficult and demanding season, emotionally. But I tried to always set an example and give the best version of myself. I haven’t decided yet where I will play next season, but wherever it is, Sevilla FC can count on the staunch support of this born and bred Sevillista. Many thanks to you all.
