Sun, Fanta and pumped forearms was a solid combo once again! 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸 I miss the atmosphere already, but it's also good to be home and focus on training. The last few days were a bit frustrating because I couldn't decide on wether or not to keep trying First Ley. It was the initial objective of the trip, but as the days flew by and I still had to work on linking sections rather than giving committing sending attempts, it put a dent in my motivation. Every now and then I gave the route a solid attempt to see where adjustments had to be made. In my best go I got to where I am in the picture. The move I fell on isn't even that hard - I gassed out. I was happy to make a high point and sticking the gaston move, but since it was such a good go that also meant that linking the remaining five hard moves would require getting stronger/fitter or a lot of time perfecting details. It felt pointless to focus 💯% on First Ley without believing in a send before leaving and with so many other quality routes around, so the last two days I focused on getting more mileage. We had a nice day in Montsant where I climbed the 35😵m long Hidrofobia 8a, and closed out the trip with sending Photo Shoot 8b. First Ley will have to wait until next winter, but I know what it takes now, and I'm looking forward to diving into projecting mode with more time! Now it's back to training for the upcoming Switzerland 🇨🇭 trip, and the World Cup season! ✌🏼️📸cred:
