August. The month that Espen Fadnes and I moved into our new home in Åndalsnes. I wonder why we have not done this before? Living here goes above and beyond all my expectations. It feels like I have finally found my place, with my people and an abundance of things I like to do conveniently placed around me at all times. Life just became a holiday. 😍

Take to work day. 😅

Would you dare give this a go?

What happened to summer on the west coast? It never came... while everyone else is complaining about heat waves. 🙄

I haven't been able to do much BASE jumping over the past month, partly because of the weather and partly because my upcoming project has been taking all of my focus and energy.

But here's a cheeky little jump I did with my good friend a couple of weeks ago. It's the first time I've tried out the new Mission 1 Pro camera. I still need some practice and need to figure out the best settings, but I'm super excited to play around with slow-motion shots. It's not something I've focused on much before.

I love being the camera person on a wingsuit BASE jump. Maybe even more than leading the jump. 😝

Back in 2018, I went to Red Bull UK with a list of dream projects.

At the top of that list was one that felt bigger than all the others: flying a wingsuit across the English Channel. At the time, it felt so far away that I never really expected it to become reality. Then, two and a half years ago, Red Bull called and said they wanted to help make it happen. The phrase "be careful what you wish for" immediately came to mind. My first thought was, "Yes, absolutely. Let's do it." My second thought was that I had just agreed to something that would require more from me than anything I had ever done before.

So I got to work. I started training physically, searching for knowledge, building a team, and gradually learning what this project would actually require. I thought I would be ready in the first year. Then I thought I would be ready in the second. Looking back, I'm glad neither of those timelines worked out. Every year brought more experience, more knowledge, and more confidence in both myself and the people around me.

For the first time, I can honestly say that I feel ready.

Ready doesn't mean certain. There are still risks, unknowns, and no guarantees. But I trust my team completely, and together we've spent years preparing for this moment. Looking back, it's been impossible to describe the journey with a single word. It's been exciting, challenging, frustrating, rewarding, and at times concerning. Every emotion that comes with taking on something this big has shown up somewhere along the way.

One thing I've been thinking about a lot recently is that there is a life before this project and there will be a life after it. For the last two and a half years, this project has been the thing I've worked towards, thought about, worried about, planned for, and dreamed of completing. There is very little grey area. I either fly across the English Channel, or I don't. It feels surreal to be counting down the days until I get my first chance to try. Whatever happens, life will continue with new goals, new adventures, and new dreams.

But first, there is one thing left to do. 🇬🇧➜🇫🇷

Some moments from Namibia at the Global Aerial Performance Camp. 🇳🇦

The idea behind the event is to gather all the airsport athletes in one place where we can play, fly, and have fun together. A chance to get to know each other, inspire one another, and dream up new ideas together. There are no big objectives apart from staying safe and enjoying every moment.

I feel incredibly thankful to be part of this team and to share such a special time with so many unique and inspiring people.

Looking back, I remember all the hugs in the landing area, the smiles, the laughter, and of course all the fun jumps and flights. 😎
