RACE REPORT

Last weekend it was time for the Supercar Challenge “Betcity Trophy of the Dunes” at Circuit Zandvoort. A two day event with races on Saturday & Sunday.

The race on Saturday went well although I was struggling to find grip on track. Some nice battles and finished in 3rd position 🥉

On Sunday the car felt weird from the start would not turn in to corners and got heavy vibrations in the steering… so it was a struggle until the pitstop and the team put on a new front tyre. After this it went so much better but a podium finish wasn’t possible anymore.

Had a great weekend on my home track with the team Koopman Racing

RACE REPORT

The 4th race of the season was Jacks Racing Day at Assen. A 3 day race event. Friday practice and qualy, Saturday race 1 and Sunday race 2.

Assen and me are not very good friends and last year I had lots of damage. So I was curious to see what I could do this year!

Qualification went good and I got P6 out 13 in class. The race on Saturday was also going great but then the gearbox started to falter a bit and that cost me a couple of places in our class. I still managed to finished P1 in the Dutch Race Driver Organisation

Sunday race 2 felt like I was flying! I drove the car from P6 to P2 in the Supercar Challenge Sport division and finished P1 in the DRDO. Finally I got my chance to spray the champagne 🍾

RACE REPORT

Last weekend I had the opportunity to drive a BMW M4 GT4 during the Supercar Challenge at Spa Francorchamps. Friday I had 2 x 40 min to get used to the car during free practice. The rain that fell regularly did not make it much easier, but I slowly got a better feeling for the car. Qualifying was difficult since I couldn’t find the grip. The first race on Saturday started wet but the track slowly dried up, which allowed me to drive on slicks for the first time and this immediately went a lot faster. I finished 14th overall. The race on Sunday was under the same conditions and went much better, after the pit stop I was on slicks and was able to achieve lap times that were not much slower than the fastest in my class, 10th overall and 5th in my class. It was amazing and many thanks to Wiseman Racing Wijsman lifttechniek and Koopman Racing for the great car!

RACE REPORT

The weather forecast for this race wasn’t that good! Rain, rain and more rain. Since I have little experience with racing in the rain, I was quite dreading it. After we installed new Hankook rain tires, I started training. I was able to find the grip well and saw that the lap times were getting faster and faster. Qualifying went surprisingly well and I started both races in 2nd place, behind racing legend Cor Euser! It hasn’t stopped raining anymore, but I had a lot of confidence and felt good about the grip on the track. I was able to hold on to 2nd place in both race 1 and race 2 and was surprised at how well it went in the rain!
