24 Hours of Jesolo 2026🇮🇹

Together we had a really great time. We got to enjoy beautiful Italy again, the challenge of a 24-hour endurance race, and the circuit itself.

That being said, it was not an easy race for the team🥲. The gaps in qualifying were small, but with a kart that was missing some pace, it was very difficult to put in a lap that was fast enough for top 15, which is what we aimed for. Unfortunately that meant we ended up qualifying in a modest P34 out of 50.

Then the start, done by Mellanie. She gained around ten positions in the first few corners, but then did a ‘Max Verstappen’ as she got spun a full 360 degrees after contact. Luckily she could continue straight away.

After the start we were a bit unlucky with the kart draw and about a quarter into the race we found ourselves down in P40. So the race immediately became a tough one 😅.

On a positive note: On Sunday morning there was a short rain shower🌧️. We reacted quickly, switching strategy and using what we’ve learned from previous races. Moments like that are exactly what endurance racing is about.
We worked together as a team, which is always an amazing feeling❤️💪🏻. Every stint we tried to maximize our strategy and pace together. In the end we fought our way back from around P40 to P26🙌🏻.

It’s definitely not the result we came for, but we showed what we’re about as a team. We fought hard, gave everything for 24 hours, and most importantly, we had a great time doing it together🔥.

18/19 april 2026 Jesolo 24h | KCE racing event

We've registered for one of the most beautiful events of 2026!
Happy to say that for all four of us, this is one of our favorite courses, we're looking forward to it!

EKC 2026 | Euroindoorkarting Swalmen

This was a very good weekend for the Girls on Fire! 💪
Selina delivered on of the strongest performance of the entire EKC. No only at the Ladies Catagory, but overall against the full field.

Debby battled very hard for her P2 at the Ladies catagory and pushed very hard against the strong field.
This all was pure racing until the very end for both ladies! 🔥

Selina her results in the heats: P1 - P2 - P1 and P3. This places her second overall, just behind Vica Schledz!
In the final there was a shootout and there she was standing for the last two, not even that but against her own man Charles de Klein.

Starting from P2 in the final, she held her ground and fished also second. That secured her second place in the overall standings and dominant first place in the Ladies category. 🥇🥈👑

Debby her results in the heats: P3 - P3 - P5 and P6. This secures her for the B-final. Not what she was hoping for, but she was fighting for the second place for the ladies category, so she knew that she must fight till the bitter end!

Starting from P1 in the final, she did everything she could and the battle was on between Debby and Jana. What a drive from both of them, a lot of respect for the young girl Jana! Unfortunate for Jana, somebody finished in front of them and because of that Debby could take her change and she finished in P3 in the B-final. But because of that result, Debby took the second place for the Ladies category! 🥈🙌

She was very excited to go to this track and did a lot of practice heats during the days.
The event was on 85 kg for the men and for the women on 79 kg and that feld pretty good!

This was 3 times qualify and then 3 races.
First Q was P1! Strong result with 7 tenths a head.
Second Q, was again a P1!
And the thirth Q was a P3.

So that means in the sprintraces she had to start 2 times P1 and 1 time P3.
She keeped it manged to be 1, 2 and 3. That is a verry good effort! 💪🏻

The semi-final Debby could start from P2, what is a very good position to be in. At Campillos it's very important to have a good slip-stream and she played a smart game to work together with an other lady.

And of she goes to the final with 6 points ahead! That is going to be, blood, sweat and unfortunately tears...
This kart had no good engine, tires or a good breaking point, so she felt totally back to P8... That one hurt!

Debby told the organisation that his kart was so bad the help the other compaditors, but they said if you had to work with it, the others needs to do that too, and ofcourse they where right about that.

Al good, the counting of points has taken and P3 still came out what is a very good job!

But the big surprice still wasn't there... Her boyfriend Albert still had something in mind to surprise her completely. And yes he did. He proposed to her! 😍💍
Ofcourse her journey could'nt end any better (Yes, a P1 had complete her weekend) but this is a very nice way to end their vacation time together. 🥰

Lets play some catch up, quite some exciting things happened this season🤩

was truly on fire during the hosted at the 7 laghi circuit🏁

It was a long weekend with lots of rain🌧️ but she was in her element. Just have a look at the podiums she took during the event, not the least of names joining her on the podium🥵

Due to her incredible drive, she became the new reigning CCK womens champion 🏁🏆

Girls on Fire in Marocco last November🔥
This being our last race of the season, ofcourse we wanted to do everything right and close the season on a high. I think we can be happy with a P9 overall, even with a 2 lap + 10 seconds penalty (of which the 10 seconds was for not having the visor sticker from the event on our visor, even though we did not even receive it until that point🤔🙃 but okay, moving on…)

Mellanie showed great pace and made sure we had a good starting position for the race. Debby started the race, headbutted some rocks along the way (🥲) but gained some positions. Amber mentioned she found herself struggling a bit, but she became faster and faster as the race proceeded. Selina also showed great pace and placed some overtakes💪🏻

As always it was a true team effort which I think we can be proud of😄

Last weekend the Girls on Fire participated in the 24 hours of Slovakia, which turned out to be a challenging weekend for all of us 😮‍💨

There were setbacks: Mellanie injured her arm only 30 seconds into the race🤕; during the night we did not manage to pinpoint the good karts which resulted in driving sh*tty karts too often and too long; and Debby stated she did not really feel like she managed to get the best out of every kart and be consistent with it🥺. So all in all difficult to compete with the top-teams that were present during the race.

However: We had fun and we raced together as a team again🙏🏻, despite the setbacks and the inconveniences. We pushed through, supported each other and still drove our hearts out to achieve the best result that was possible here💪🏻 And in the end, that is what sport is all about. It’s not just about winning, it’s about passion and the absolute will and drive to perform.

And we hope that, by showing that even though maybe not everything is always as perfect as you might want it to be, we can inspire girls and women to pursue their passion and to not be afraid of the things that might to wrong. Because yes, there will always be setbacks, there will always be challenges, but don’t be afraid, follow your passion and drive, and we promise you that you will be just fine!🔥
