Thank you for showing the issue of Standing Rock to the world wide public. I enjoyed your company last Wednesday in Pllek and especially the skype-like connecting with Manapee. Brillant.
It seems to me, native amercans with their free and down to earth spirits (literally) are to be fought, deminished and should be washed away and vanish from the face of this earth. A thought both incredible and irresponsible - but undeniably true, if you look at what is happening for centuries.
It is obvious, the only public, ready for this kind of world wide troubles, are the pioneers in both consiousness and kindness. The curious. The responsible. Those with integrity.
The rest of these (modern western world) peoples are not ready to come into action unless .. current developments start hurting them as well. Completely, that is.
That is what we all are waiting for. To get the public involved. This will only happen when it hurts them and things will be TOO LATE. For everybody.
That's how it is. No doubt about that. The public need this firm clash - with themselves. Then we will start realising what is happening.
So... what remains for us, is to prepare ourselves to become mentally stable and thus be ready when the big bang comes. Eventually.
In addition to this - your work and that of the filmmakers of More than a pipeline - I would like to send you an article in Dutch (Inge can translate this) about the forceful schooling and treatment of native americans sinds "the treaty" in 19th century, which was broken and violeted in all possible ways.
See enclosed. As well as the beautiful statement of Chief Seattle, in short. Fabricated in a way, but valid - as is the greatest speech of Charlie Chaplin with which he ended his 1941 movie "The Great Dictator". [final speech: https://youtu.be/w8HdOHrc3OQ]
So the world is watching. All eyes are on the native americans/first nations peoples as they are struggling for their very existence. This is the way it is. If they (and you and I) find a way to survive, they/you/we understand what life is all about - the first law of nature: the love for life, coming from within - our own soul. The thing where our feeling comes from.
