⚽ Some venues bring the energy of buzzing with excitement before you even step inside — and the Johan Cruijff ArenA is definitely one of them!

Home to AFC Ajax and one of Amsterdam’s most iconic landmarks, it’s the perfect setting for the 2026 European edition of Digimarcon Europe organised by DigiMarCon.

I’m thrilled to be invited to deliver a keynote here for the third time! Being invited back as a conference speaker is the best kind of feedback — proof that the previous keynotes created real value and made a lasting impact on the audience.

LaMatu will be there again, and I can’t wait to connect, meet new people and soak up the energy.

People Leaders’ Reset, Vol. 1 turned out to be exactly that: a quiet reset in nature.

At the end of a working day, I joined my peers from TruthWorks and People & Culture leaders for People Leaders’ Reset, Vol. 1 — a walk through the Amsterdamse Bos.

We were lucky to catch a few rays of Indian Summer sun. Instead of the usual office noise, the background volume came from birds, leaves, water and sounds of nature.

There was room for both lightness and depth: meaningful conversations flowed as we walked. It was energising and inspiring — and it genuinely felt like a reset. We ended the evening with a drink and laughter, playing Jenga with nachos.

This was Vol. 1 of the event series, but it was also a reminder that changing the volume and the environment can help us gain some fresh perspective. Stepping outside the usual office setting can make room for a more open dialogue and meaningful connection and help the conversations flow naturally.

Some invitations take us forward. Others bring us back to where the journey began.

Many years ago, I was a student at CEMS—curious about the world, uncertain about the future, and unaware of how many turns my career would eventually take.

Recently, I returned to that community as a guest of CEMS Club Rotterdam for an episode of the ConverCEMSions podcast.

Sitting in the podcast studio of Erasmus University Rotterdam with the CEMS students felt both joyful and quietly melancholic. I remembered the person I was then: moving between Warsaw, Barcelona and Düsseldorf, following my curiosity without knowing where it would take me.

It would lead to 16 years with international organisations. To leadership roles, difficult choices and an ever-growing fascination with how people develop. Eventually, it would lead me away from the predictable next promotion and towards founding LaMatu.

In our conversation, we spoke about female empowerment, gender equality, career transitions and the courage to choose the less path less travelled. We also spoke about self-fulfilling prophecies and the beliefs that quietly shape the realm of our possibilities.

If you do not apply for a position because you assume you will not be chosen, the probability of not getting the job is 100%.

So pay attention to your inner dialogue. Surround yourself with people who genuinely want you to succeed against all odds. Find your tribe—the people willing to challenge gravity alongside you.

Your future career is important, but don’t let it take over your whole life. So now and then ditch the books, live in the moment and live a little. If CEMS takes you to Esade, go and see FC Barcelona play with your friends even it means that you will need to live on bread and pasta for the next week. Create memories and make friends for

Some of the most meaningful moments in my professional life have started with a good conversation.

A challenging question asked at the right time.

A perspective outside of my paradigm.

A person willing to share not only what they know, but also how they think.

That’s why I’m happy to share that I’m now mentoring on ADPList— a global platform connecting people with mentors across industries, roles, and career stages.

In my work as a coach, mentor and facilitator at LaMatu, I support professionals and leaders as they navigate transitions, make important decisions, build confidence in their direction, and shape careers that feel both ambitious and authentic.
I deeply appreciate what ADPList is making possible: access to thoughtful, human, high-quality mentorship beyond the limits of one’s immediate network. Initiatives like this matter because guidance should not depend only on who you already know.

I’m happy to share that I’ve been accepted as an Expert on TruthWorks — a curated marketplace for People & Culture challenges.

This feels like a very natural fit for LaMatu.

I’ve always cared deeply about expertise, and over the course of my career I’ve come to see it as a responsibility.

To me, it means doing the work behind the work: staying sharp, asking better questions, challenging assumptions with care, and bringing both rigour and humanity into the room.

And quality matters.

Especially in coaching, leadership development, and culture work, the impact depends on more than good intentions. It depends on sound judgement, real experience, ethical practice, and the ability to meet people and organisations where they are — especially when the questions are complex, messy, or not easily answered by a template.

☕ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝟱𝟮 𝗰𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿?

In 2011, Megan Gebhart set herself a simple challenge: meet one new person for coffee every week for an entire year.

Those conversations with people from very different backgrounds, including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and author Seth Godin eventually inspired her book titled “52 Cups of Coffee”.

Summer can be an excellent time to put this idea into practice. Calendars often have a little more breathing room, inboxes are quieter, and even the busiest professionals have a bit more time to meet for lunch or coffee.

That could mean reconnecting with:
✦ a mentor
✦ a business partner you have not seen for a while
✦ a recruiter who may have more space for an introductory conversation while recruitment processes move at a slower Summer pace

Every coffee does not need an immediate objective. A thoughtful conversation can lead to an idea, an introduction, a collaboration, or simply a stronger professional relationship.

This month I met Ronald Beltzer from Flott Advocaten who supported many of the LaMatu clients over the years. This week, I had another one of those coffees with Joanna P***k P***k-Goodman, with whom I recently got to reconnect at one of the Female Ventures events in Amsterdam ☕️

What does it really mean to design a meaningful life abroad?

I recently recorded a podcast conversation with Adis Sophie from Designing Your Life - Netherlands at the podcast studio of Equals Clubhouse in Amsterdam.

Together, we explored relocation, reinvention, career transitions, and the intentional choices that help us build a life with more clarity, confidence, and purpose.

I shared parts of my own journey: moving from Poland to Spain, Germany, and eventually the Netherlands; building an international corporate career; and later transitioning into founding LaMatu, my coaching practice for international professionals navigating career and life transitions in the Netherlands.

We explored questions many expats and international professionals will recognise:

↳ How do you navigate uncertainty when your career path no longer feels aligned?
