De naam van onze school komt van ‘Fenghuang’ wat Chinees is voor ‘Phoenix’, de mythische vogel welke staat voor een goed voorteken en levensduur. In China ligt een klein stadje genaamd Phoenix Ancient Town. Het is gelegen aan de westelijke grens van de provincie Hunan in een gebied van uitzonderlijke natuurlijke schoonheid, waar bergen, water en blauwe luchten prevaleren. De indruk, de sfeer van m

ysterie, elegantie en primitieve eenvoud is prachtig. De benaming van de school heeft zijn naam te danken aan deze prachtige stad, waar de school van Shifu Shi Yong Wu – 33rd generation Shaolin Kung Fu zich bevind. Shi Yong Wu is de kung fu broer van onze leraar in Nederland Delko Markovic.
