The Bicycle Riders International Cooperative Society is Helping to end the cycle of poverty in Yola and you can too with your support of the Wheelbarrow Kids Project.

The Wheelbarrow Project is a campaign to raise $650.00 for 20 young kids who work in Jimeta Modern Market in Yola Nigeria transporting customers shopping items in wheelbarrows. Some kids, as young as 8, don't attend school but work long hours, year around hauling groceries for shoppers in Jimeta Market. Most are from less privileged households and work to supplement their family's income.

Your contributions will go to (1) purchase, maintain and store 20 new wheelbarrows (2) uniforms and sandals for 20 kids.

Market shoppers who hire these kids know they are providing youths in their community with opportunity to earn so that they can help themselves and their families; hiring youth is more beneficial to the society than ignoring them and leaving them vulnerable to societal ills and extreme poverty.

More importantly, the your donation will help break the "cycle of poverty" that mires so many fresh minds in destitution.

Only children who regularly attend school are eligible to participate in this project. Economics On The Move (EOTM) will pay the session school fees for children who successfully participate in the Wheelbarrow Project.
