๐จ๐ดโช๏ธ 79 DAYS. TWO SIGNINGS. THATโS IT.
Imagine having almost two and a half months โ 79 days โ to strengthen a squad that won the Premier Leagueโฆ and this is where weโve ended up.
Two additions.
One is Christos Tzolis, a player with no Premier League experience. The other is Bruno Guimarรฃes, a quality signing who, by all indications, needed Josh Kroenke to step in and get the deal over the line. Without that intervention, would Bruno even be an Arsenal player? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
And while bringing in only two players, weโve let attackers leave.
Trossard โ a proven Premier League game-changer.
Martinelli โ our Champions League top scorer and another player who has repeatedly shown he can change games.
Both gone. No direct replacements.
Then weโre told to sugarcoat it. ๐ญ
Why?
We had 79 days to operate. We had the financial power after reportedly generating ยฃ800m+ last season. Yet somehow, we couldnโt even get our spending beyond roughly ยฃ110m.
This isnโt about demanding panic buys.
Itโs about asking why Arsenal didnโt operate like champions when we finally had the opportunity to strengthen from a position of strength.
Fans have every right to question this window.
We shouldnโt have to apologise for expecting more.
