Thierry Henry message to Viktor Gyokeres ahead of Aston villa game:
"Viktor, listen.
First season in a new league, in England? It’s hard. I know. When I first came to Arsenal, I was playing out wide, people were doubting me, I wasn’t scoring. They said ‘Henry can’t do it in the Premier League’. I had a difficult start too.
But the moment I understood _where_ to be, _when_ to be there... everything changed.
For you this season, you can’t just be a goalscorer. You have to become _the_ goalscorer.
That means positioning. Always be on the shoulder of the last defender. Don’t chase the ball, let the game come to you. Run in behind, stretch them, then when the ball is wide — attack the near post, attack the back post. Be greedy. Be selfish in the box.
Use your pace, use your power, but add intelligence. The best strikers? We think 2 seconds before everyone else. Anticipate the cutback, anticipate the mistake.
